Both staff and students are furious that management have chosen to close down popular courses without any consultation.

The march is planned to take place from the Andrews Building and will cross the park to a rally at the James Matthews Building where speakers from the lecturers union, NATFHE and the NUS will address the gathering.

A spokesperson for NATFHE said the rally is designed to draw the public attention's to what he called "the mismanagement" at Southampton Institute.
