The weekend's countryside persuits are being curbed as people are being urged to stay away from farms and agricultural land in the wake of the foot-and-mouth outbreak.

The Ramblers Association have cancelled all walks across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight that were taking place this weekend.

The National Trust cancelled the event at Badbury Rings as a precaution to reduce the risk of spreading foot-and-mouth.
