FACTS
tiny

Indie band Delays come from Southampton and are regularly spotted at music venues in the South.

Southampton's other homegrown musical talent includes singer/songwriter Aqualung (aka Matt Hales), Coldplay drummer Will Champion and, of course, r'n'b star Craig David.

The Beta Band's bass player, Richard Greentree comes from Portsmouth.

The Joiners in Southampton is renowned for booking bands just before they hit the big time. The likes of Oasis, Supergrass and Radiohead are among the bands to have graced its stage.

The Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth is another venue where music lovers can catch up and coming bands live.
