Songs of Praise: School Choirs Showcase

Presented by Aled Jones

General:
In a programme celebrating the winners of our 'School Choir competition' Aled Jones catches up with senior winners Coventry Blue Coat School Choir as they perform When I Survey The Wondrous Cross and We Shall Go Out With Hope of Resurrection. Junior winners Lindley School Choir show what young professionals they are when they perform Simple Gifts. They also sing a special song for Children In Need with Aled Jones "The Unicorn Song". Musical highlights from the competition include "Bright Morning Stars Are Rising", "The World In Union" and "You Shall Go Out With Joy".

We are still looking for entrants for the 2009 School Choirs Competition; the closing date is not until 27th October 2008. To enter, simply record your choir singing one traditional hymn, chosen from the list on the website below, and one inspirational or Gospel song. Send the recording to us on a CD or cassette, together with your completed entry form details of which will also be found on the website.
