| THE REVD. DES CARTWRIGHT - Elim Historian
The Reverend Des Cartwright is the official Historian for Elim Pentecostal Church. He recounts the story of how George and Stephen Jefferies founded Elim Pentecostal Church. JOEL EDWARDS - General Director, Evangelical Alliance An ordained minister in one of the UK's major Caribbean denominations and an honorary Canon of St Paul's Cathedral, Joel blends black and white together without making grey. Crossing cultural divides and coping with 'daily culture shock' since he arrived in the UK from Kingston, Jamaica at the age of 8, Joel has become one of the foremost protagonists within the Christian church scene. As such, he serves on a number of faith, government and public agency advisory groups. A respecter of diversity, he is also passionate about unity within the church. But unity with a purpose; to see real change for real lives and real communities. Joel was a Probation Officer for 14 years and the senior pastor of a local church for 10 years before becoming the first black general director of the Evangelical Alliance in 1997. He explains the phenomenon of the early Pentecostal movement in the UK and reflects n the growing world wide church today. MARK PUGH - National Serious 4 God Director Mark is a passionate and inspirational leader who loves to give people the daring hope that they can live their dreams. He travels widely to churches and youth events, inspiring and challenging people to rise up with the call of God upon their lives. He also mentors youth leaders and provides consultancy to churches who are looking at ways of taking their youth ministry forward. Part of his role also involves directing and lecturing on the Serious4Youth Ministry course which was launched in September 05. Mark became the full-time director of Serious4God in March 05 as a result of the exciting things that God was doing with the ministry. His first book 'Who will you be the day after yesterday' is a stirring message to let nothing hold you back from entering into the 'Dream of God' over your life. He is married to Nita and they have 3 children, Chloegrace, Luke and Joel. He compares the work with the youth today, with that in the days of George Jefferies. MARCUS AND WENDY PAWSEY Marcus and Wendy were both financial advisors in London. They gave up work and moved to study at Regent's Theological College with their 2 sons - Rees and Ben. They talk about thir reasons for moving, the difference in their lifestyle and the effect it has had on their faith. THE REVD. NIGEL TWEEN - Principal - Regents Theological College Nigel is the Director of Training for Elim and is married to Rachel. He talks about who attends and the work that students of Regents Theological College go on to do. EDDIE WALSH - Founder, New Hope Coaching Academy Eddie Walsh is the Founder of New Hope Coaching Academy which is based at Kensington Temple in London.
