A Day Out In Liverpool

 Aled Jones takes a ticket to ride on a magical mystery tour of Liverpool and discovers why this European Capital of Culture offers so much to the day tripper. Special guest Claire Sweeney sings her own ballad When You Believe and two thousand people gather in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King to sing the hymns Hail Redeemer, King Divine, Crown Him With Many Crowns and Tell Out My Soul.

 MARIE ROLFE
Marie is a Green Badge Tour Guide for the city of Liverpool. She takes Aled on an open-top bus tour of the city.

DAVID BEDFORD
Aled interviews David at the Casbah Club where the Beatles first performed. A lifelong fan, David started researching the early lives of the Beatles when he was forced to give up work due to ill health. He hopes his book, based on this research and called 'Liddypool: Birthplace of the Beatles' will be published in Autumn 2008.

PAUL CROSSEY
Paul is a Blue Badge North West Tourist Guide. He takes Aled around both the Anglican and Roman Catholic Cathedrals of the city.

STEPHEN DONE
Stephen is the Museum Curator at Liverpool Football Club. He talks about the origins of Liverpool and Everton and how football and religion are entwined.

CECILIA MATSON
Cecilia studied in Liverpool and like the city so much she stayed. She's produced a series of paintings depicting the developing Liverpool skyline in which she believes it is possible to see God.
