 Tim Frankland

Pam talks to Tim Frankland who works at the Royal Pump Room Museum which is built over Harrogate's famous Sulphur Well. He also talks about how people in Victorian times who came to take the Cure would spend a typical day.

Tim talks about the spiritual dimension of 'taking the Cure'. How Visitors would often begin the day with a Bible Reading at breakfast. Also how there was a Biblical Painting in the Pump Room put in by the Victorians.

He talks about the Architect, Temple Moore, who loved Yorkshire's Abbey's and Cathedrals and emulated them by building in a Gothic style. He describes some of the church's distinctive features including the stone panels around the wall which depict the life of Christ.
