"Tom,
I thought you were paying!" |
Somerset
resident Tom Owen took time out of his schedule to find out about
how people in Bridgwater have been working on the BBC's Voices project.
Tom,
who lives in Combe Florey near Taunton, has just completed filming
twelve new episodes of the long-running sitcom.
His
name mightn't be so familiar to viewers who haven't seen the show
over the past few years - he joined the team only relatively recently.

But
his father, the late Bill Owen, who entertained TV audiences for
years as Compo, is sure to be familiar.

unveils the new flower-bed |
Tom
gave out prizes from Royal Mail of stamps from the past year and
artist's materials to the six winning contributors.
All
the pictures are now being put together to make a giant picture
map of the town, which will be put on display at Bridgwater Arts
Centre.

Rain
didn't damp the spirits of Tom Owen and everyone else at Chilton
Trinity Technology College, as he unveiled a raised flower-bed at
the school.
Volunteers
from The Prince's Trust had built the construction in the school
grounds for students with disabilities.
