The 40-feet high and 6-feet deep mural has been partly funded through a grant from Sedgemoor District Council and from other public and private sources.

The work is being supervised by Tina Spratt, but will be carried out by children from the area.

The work is mounted on board and is secured to the inside wall of the Splash at the flume end of the pool.

It's hoped that the durability of the creation will be sufficient to withstand the pool atmosphere for several years to come.

It was officially unveiled in July 2003.
