Voices: Turning words into action
Reporter Steve Haigh and local parents and children Get YOUR voice heard!

The people of Bridgwater have been taking part in an exciting BBC project, Voices. It 's been a chance for people living in the area to get their voices heard.
Reporter Steve Haigh wants to hear YOUR voice

The local community in and around Chilton Trinity Technology College in Bridgwater have been involved in a landmark BBC project.

It provided people with the opportunity to express their feelings about their community, on BBC Somerset Sound, BBC Points West, and on this website.

The project centred around Chilton Trinity Technology College was part of a larger initiative called Voices taking place nationwide.

The aim was to empower local communities with the skills to broadcast their ideas, in an attempt to positively change people's outlook on life.

There were fifty different projects around the UK, and every one was unique - find out about the other projects.

What unified them all was that each was a response to the needs of local people, seeking to improve their everyday lives.
