The
Victoria Art Gallery in Bath is looking for artists who want to
exhibit their work as part of the Bath Society of Artists' annual
show.
Formaldehyde
or female alter-ego?
You
can submit up to two pieces of art for the exhibition which need
to be handed in at the gallery on Saturday 17 July between 10.30am
and 3.30pm.
The
judging takes place the following day and the chosen work will be
displayed in the show which runs from Saturday 24 July to Friday
17 September.
Your
exhibits can be paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints or mixed
media. Photography is not permitted, however.
And
the winner of the Turner prize is...
Prizes
of up to £1000 are on offer for the most outstanding work
in the exhibition.
There's
a public choice prize, an award for the best three dimensional work
and a young artists prize.
Jon
Benington, curator of the gallery, says: "Last year's exhibition
attracted almost 15,000 visitors and featured around 300 works in
a dazzling variety of styles.
"This
is a great chance for aspiring artists to have their work displayed
at a prominent art gallery."
