i live in weston and have got photo's pre 1900 of mark village, showing a shop named shepards does anybody know of this, i obtained the photo's three of them from a car boot sale

I live in mark. When we go to the shop we go through the churchard yard which has 2 lions at the door. we have a good playground and loads and loads of freinds at school who live nearby.

I was a few times in Mark, I have friends in Mark, Jaennette and Brian Shepherd. I like Mark very much, because it's a remote place with a beautiful countryside.

I have lived in mark for 60 years and i like the vilages services and the lovely local church.
I have lived in the village for 8 years, and absolutely love it and the people who live there. Am now living in Germany and miss it very much!!

My g-g-g-g'mother born in Mark in 1801. I am thrilled to see scenes of the village of Mark. I wonder if the family lived in any of the houses pictured. Thank you for the opportunity to see these village scenes.
My Father was from Mark, and i remember visiting my Grandmother there back in 1928, when I was 8 years old, she lived in a small cottage alongside the stream at the other side of the bridge shown in picture
number 6 ( above). Remember the fairs they held on the green opposite the pub
also shown to the left in the picture. Still have happy memories of what was then a pretty village.
