i live in weston and have got photo's pre 1900 of mark village, showing a shop named shepards does anybody know of this, i obtained the photo's three of them from a car boot sale

I live in mark. When we go to the shop we go through the churchard yard which has 2 lions at the door. we have a good playground and loads and loads of freinds at school who live nearby.

My Father was from Mark, and i remember visiting my Grandmother there back in 1928, when I was 8 years old, she lived in a small cottage alongside the stream at the other side of the bridge shown in picture number 6 ( above). Remember the fairs they held on the green opposite the pub also shown to the left in the picture. Still have happy memories of what was then a pretty village.
