Someone send some pics of the squibbing, I saw TV cameras high up in the High Street so pictures were being taken, send some to the BEEB so everyone can see what squibbing is, it was wonderful....

Andy
I agree, Showboat was light years ahead of all the other floats.

The Masqueraders took part -they were near the back-many people had left before they came along due to the huge gaps and the bad weather!-off to see them tonight in Burnham!

ashley
the gremlins disney cart looks simply superb!, did the masqueraders take part as i cant see any pics of them. (Ed: they did take part. The photos of them are in our other photo gallery - follow the link on the right to go there.)

There needs to be a beter information flow from the organisers - waiting in Penal Orlieu / Broadway (in the pouring rain) we had no ide why there was a delay in the parade reaching us and / or likely arrival time. As one of our group was in a wheelchair and another in her 80's, we had arrived early to get a decent spot - the additional waiting and the rain resulted in us going home after the first 50 odd entries as the elderly in the group could stand no longer. That said, it is some 25 years since I last saw the carnival and I was still amazed at the quality of the entries.

i would like to say that i didnt like the new guy fawkes cart. Also you need to get people off further up tauton road as there is to much hold up. Bar that good carnival as always except mayb the route needs abit of tweeking
