Divine Art: Jenny Smedley

By contributor Jenny Smedley
Jenny Smedley is an author on the subject of past lives, who lives near Taunton. She talks about works of art that have inspired her spiritually.

Angel
This angel reflects inner beauty

I create these angel portraits for individual people as a representative of their own guardian.

I started by doing them quite accidentally, playing with an art programme on my computer.

People started to notice what they perceived as angels within the digital paintings and then as my work developed, the heavenly beings started to take on a clearer appearance until they are as you see them today.

The painting above is my current favourite and was done for a lady in Australia who was convinced the world conspired against her because she wasn't beautiful.

This angel, merely a reflection of her soul, showed that inside, and to those who matter, she is beautiful, just like her angel.

Angel
An angel of calm

Now, when she looks in the mirror, she sees that angel.

The calm among the chaos

This painting was done for a lady who was shouldering too much responsibility.

Her angel's message was that she must stop being the centre of the universe for her family.

She also had to stop being the calm among the chaos, as this angel appears to be.

She needed to start demanding some time for herself.

Our reality

Angel
This angel reflects anger

This angel was done for a man who was consumed with anger.

He was at the point where he was feeling everyone was conspiring against him, and felt surrounded by evil.

This angel reflects the anger in him, but also told him that he could change the world by changing the way he feels.

Our reality is a reflection of what we choose to imagine.
