Madonna
Modern manners by Madge's mother-in-law

Madonna may have to mind her Ps and Qs...

... now that Guy Ritchie's mum, Lady Amber Leighton (who lives in Somerton), has set up a finishing school in the county.

BBC Somerset Sound's Jess Rudkin and Andrew Enever went along to the finishing school classes in Wincanton to get to grips with the basics of modern manners.

They were put through their paces by Lady Amber herself, who says her service is about much more than knowing which fork to use.

"It's hugely broad, and it's about helping people to become more comfortable in all kinds of social situations.

"So, it's about table manners, dress, voice and just all the subtleties of delivery. I try to deal with a lot of things based on old-fashioned values which are relevant to today."
