Who are RumJunkie?
Aaron Glass on guitar; James Mcauley on drums; Justin Towell on guitar; Simon Frowde on vocals and bass.
Where in Somerset are you from?
When did you form?
How did you get together?
Aaron and Simon were part of local band CiderMetalFite, which ended in 2003.
They put together RumJunkie and recruited James to play the drums. Justin joined in 2006 to assist in a battle of the bands competition, while Aaron was travelling.
The lineup worked, so Justin stayed.
How would you describe your music?
Heavy metal/rock, punk and blues.
How did the band gets its name?
RumJunkie is a description of someone who knows they shouldn't drink, but they do it anyway.
Who are your musical influences?
Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Rancid, NOFX, Elvis and Johnny Cash.
What is your most memorable gig so far?
It will be the Rock 'n' Blues Custom Show on 28 July 2006, playing to 30,000 people.
Where would you most like to play?
Finally, tell us some interesting facts about yourself
The band makes the same New Year's resolution every year - that if we don't make some progress on the music scene this year, we'll put together a cabaret act and go out on the cruise ships.
So far, we haven't needed to.
