Glenn enjoyed a good season in the Premier League in 2005.

Not only was he part of the Somerset quartet that lifted the Premier League Fours Championship, he was also a finishing runner-up, together with Magnus Zetterstrom, in the Pairs Championship.

On hearing the news about his signing, Glenn said: "Somerset were the only club I wanted to ride for in 2006.

"We tasted success as a team for the first time last season, and I am sure that Pete (Toogood) and Mick (Bell) will put together a team that will build on that success.

"The track is superb, and the fans are fantastic.

"Whilst I had a great season last year riding at the Oak Tree Arena, I am looking to improve my away form in 2006 and see the team collect further honours."

A former winner of the Premier League Riders' Championship, 30-year-old Glenn will come into the team on a 7.49 average.
