Now in its eighth year, NASS is one of the biggest urban sporting festivals with over 20 sports and music arenas.

Vert legends, moto-x heroes and stars of skate will combine with live music for a three-day summer camp, extreme sports show and music festival in one.

Kings of Vert and Urban Attack

The National Adventure Sports Show
NASS is now in its eighth year

After attending last year's event, US vert champion Mat Hoffman will again return to ride in the Kings of Vert competition.

Inline talent will be made up of UK stars Ali Cairns and Pete King, with the Japanese Yasutoko brothers showing off some tricks.

On the Saturday night, moto-x daredevils will take to the sky for the International Freestyle Moto-X.

Urban Attack is an event with a unique course which is designed, built and run by skaters, BMX-riders and inliners.

The Urban Attack competition is staged over two days. After the pro warm-up on Friday, the course is opened to the attending public in the evening.

Get your bikes and boards at the ready

Get ready for some girl-power action too, as NASS 2005 features an exclusive girls' skateboard competition.

More extremeness

As well as bars and DJs, Dirty Sanchez will be there on the Friday night. Suicidal Tendencies and hip-hop band the Sugarhill Gang will also be playing.

US pro Tom Litneir, as well as other Frisbee champions, will also be flying into NASS.
Demos and pro competitions will be featured over the Saturday and Sunday.

The downhill kart derby is new to NASS. The rules are simple: three people to push, one to drive, and you race against one other kart per race. The fastest to the bottom of the course wins the kart derby trophy.

There's also a new camping area this year, plus the usual bike and board shack (for the overnight safe storage of equipment), as well as a late-night cinema.

For more information about the event, and how to buy tickets, go to the NASS 2005 website - the link's at the top of this page.

James from Stratford
Another cracking year.... been going with a group of mates since it started. You just can't beat it. If you're into extreme sports and enjoy a beverage then this festival can't be beaten. Next year I'm packing suncream though!

JJ
This was my 4th year of going to NASS, the littering and the behaviour of yobs, who aren't even interested in extreme sports, gets worse each year. The family camping areas are a joke with gangs of immature idiots yelling obscenities all night. Won't be going next year unless the organisers set up some clear camping areas and stick to the rules they impose.

jam
it was pretty wild this year to say the least! sugarhill gang were awsome and i was ravin' on the main stage all nite after that! jump around!!

Reece

NASS was good, the sound in the band tent was pretty crap, so we didn't really bother with any of the bands. Skateboarding there was crap, the bmx dirt jumps were good and the Mat Hoffman vert demo was awesome. FMX jumps were good aswel. The wet tshirt comp on the friday wasn't too good, the comp on the saturday was awesome. BOOBS! Loads of beer, and sexy stuff. And sexy people. go there for pictures.

Badge
