Q. Confused about my sexuality…

Dr Mel - Slink health expert

I'm really confused... About a year and a half ago I told two of my mates that I was bi-sexual but now I dont know what I am. I have emomational feeling for lads but not for girls and i have physical feeling for girls but not for lads. Please help!

Chelsea, 15

A: Dear Chelsea

Remember how you used to like eating fizz bombs while watching HSM? Not so much nowadays, I'm guessing. And remember that girl who was your Best Friend For Life in year 6? Where is she now? Exactly.

The point is, we change all the time. 'Specially when we're 15. It's meant to be that way. That's why we cringe at old photos.

When it comes to sexuality, we don't need to define ourselves. No label is necessary. We fancy who we fancy. We connect with some people, not others. They may be tall, short, fat, thin, male or female. It's no biggie. As long as they like us back and treat us right, that's all that matters.

So don't be confused, be proud of who you are. There's no need to rush into anything and just make sure that whatever you choose you're safe, happy and healthy.
