Backward went the clock,
Tick-tock. Time went backwards fast.
I was young again.

Helen is studying Key Skills at the Shirebrook Carterlane Centre in Nottinghamshire. She enjoys creative writing.

A haiku is an ancient Japanese art form. The idea is to get the most impact from the fewest words. There are 3 lines to a haiku. They don't rhyme but add up to 17 syllables (a way of breaking a word up into parts).
For more information on haikus look at the BBC Blast website.
You can practise syllables on Skillswise.
