One of my favourite pop stars is Ronan Keating. His full name is Ronan Patrick John Keating and he was born in Dublin, Ireland on 3rd March 1977.

He joined 'Boyzone' in 1994 to 1998 and he was 'Boyzone's' main man. In 1998 the group split and he went solo. In 1999 his first song was 'When you say nothing at all' and he wrote it for the movie 'Notting Hill'. The song went to number 1 in the charts.

Last year, in July, I went to see him live in concert in the Manchester Arena with two friends. My favourite songs are 'Life is a Rollercoaster', 'Long Goodbye' and 'If Tomorrow Never Comes'. In the concert there were about ten thousand people.

This story was written by Neil Whalley.
Neil is a student at Southport College.
