Broken Hearts

It started with a kiss
An ordinary start
It grew into a mountain
And we promised not to part.
Everything seemed so good
Everything seemed so right
We wanted it to last forever
For more than just a night.
I'll never know just what went wrong
I'll never know the truth
Did you love me like you said?
I never asked for proof.
And now the days are very long
And the nights they just drag by
I miss you now you've gone
I only dream and cry.
