Why I support Aston Villa

I have supported Aston Villa football club since 1995. Because I was born in Birmingham in 1969 and because my cousin was a supporter, I became one too.

I watch all their matches on television and 'Sky'. I think they are dead good, but they need some decent players and could do better. I think that their best player is Dion Dublin, who is my favourite. He always seems to be injured, but always makes a good effort when he comes back. I think Peter Enckelman, their goalkeeper, is useless and can't save any goals! Ian Taylor plays out front and creates some good passes, but the rest of the players sometimes let him down and lose the ball.

They have a new stand and are going to get a new pitch laid. Their manager, Graham Taylor, should do better. If he doesn't he should go 'upstairs' and the team should get a new manager

This piece was written by Chris Gent, who is studying at the Coquet Early Excellence Centre in Hadston, Northumberland.
Chris works in McDonalds one day a week. He likes football, British Wrestling and making websites.
Chris also enjoys playing online pool, Fantasy Football, checking his e-mail, doing the games and quizzes on 'Skillswise' (of course!) and much more.

Which football team do you support and why?
