Yoga six week introduction course.
This course is designed for people who have never tried yoga before and provides a general overview of all the different Yoga styles and techniques. The word Yoga means the union of mind, body and spirit.
What can yoga do for me?
Yoga's combination of physical postures, deep breathing exercises, balances, relaxation and meditation are the perfect way to relieve stress, calm the mind and tone the entire body, both inside and out. Once you develop a regular yoga practice you can start to feel the benefits in all areas of your life.
I'm not fit or flexible - can I do yoga?
Yoga practice gives direct benefit to everyone, regardless of ability, age or levels of fitness. If it is some time since you did any form of exercise it may be best to start off with a gentle class.
Does it matter how old I am?
Yoga can be practised by anyone, regardless of age. Children of three or four can benefit from yoga as much as someone in their eighties.
Can those with health problems do yoga?
Yoga can benefit many common ailments. Before you start the class, discuss your needs with the teacher.
I'm pregnant - is yoga suitable for me?
Many women decide to start yoga when they are pregnant. It is an ideal time to invest in your peace of mind and well being. Often you may simply need time out to relax. Discuss your needs with the teacher.
