'Format and structure' tutor notes
The 'Format and Structure' topic area aims to help learners understand different ways of organising and presenting text for different purposes in their writing.

Format and structure factsheets
Six factsheets showing how different formats and structures in writing are used for different purposes. Some of the formats explained are bullet points, flow charts and images. You'll find curriculum references in the top right-hand corner of the factsheets.

Format and structure quiz
Students can print out a certificate if they score 50% or more in the quiz. This will appear as a link on the results page - click on the link and the certificate will appear in a new window. Students can write their name on the certificate once it's printed.
Format and structure worksheets
Four printable worksheets present various ways of helping leaners format and structure their writing. These include working with flow charts and writing accident reports. More worksheets will be added. You'll find curriculum references in the top right-hand corner of the worksheets. They are printable resources to continue the work learners have completed online.
