Rules of submission
General conditions:
The BBC retains the right to choose and arrange work submitted, and to remove work from the BBC website at its sole discretion.
You agree to submit only materials to which you have the copyright. You may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, personal privacy, publicity or proprietary rights.
The BBC is under no obligation to publish the work submitted.
If your work is published the BBC will need your full name, address and contact details for the purposes of our register of copyright ownership. These details will not be passed on to any third party.
The material you submit will be stored in the archives of the BBC.
The BBC accepts no responsibility in connection with any work you submit to a third party i.e. not the BBC.
Rights:
By submitting your work to the BBC website you -
Warrant that it is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to the BBC for use in all media worldwide in perpetuity.
Indemnify the BBC against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by them as a result of your breach of the above warranty.
Grant the BBC the right in perpetuity to display the work on its website located at http://www.bbc.co.uk, which can be viewed internationally, and to store it on its servers and in its archive and to use in all media worldwide.
Agree to waive your moral rights in the work for the purposes of its submission to and use by the BBC.
Agree that the BBC shall not be responsible for any third party infringement of your rights in the work, moral or otherwise, which may result from its submission to the BBC website.
