Objectives: Practise relating familiar events to times of day, days of the week and seasons of the year.
Preparation: Bring in postcards of different times of year/images printed from the internet/clipart that have clear seasonal focus.

 		 Introduce topic - time, days, months and seasons.
What do each of these mean to the students - when do the seasons start (matter of opinion)?
What do the different times of year mean to different people?
 		 Discussion.

 		 Seasons
 		 Linking images to seasons - label up the pictures and photos according to the seasons.
Order postcards into correct seasonal order.
 		 Students join in seasons activity.
 		 Photographs and postcards to show the different seasons.
 
10 mins
 		 Months and seasons.
 
 		 Students attempt months and seasons activity from Worksheet 1.
 		 Worksheet 1 - Months and Seasons.
 
10 mins
 		 Telling the time.
 		 How do we tell the time, show time of day with words?
Ordering times of day - and what we do at these times (don't forget the shift worker factor).
 		 Discussion.

 		 Events and times.
 
 		 Students attempt events and times activity from Worksheet 2.
 		 Worksheet 2 - Events and times.
