Josie Pearse left school with relief and just scraped an 'O' level. She went back as a mature student in her twenties and gained a degree in Humanities. Since then she has written and published 2 novels and written for The Guardian. She done good, huh!

She has taught adult literacy and creative writing in her community since 1988. These days she won't do it without administration support.

She likes bicycling and walking by the river. And sometimes she particularly likes starting sentences with an 'and'.

She writes and edits material she believes in.
