Some reminders for written multiplication

When you are multiplying numbers you need to decide whether to use a mental method (doing calculations in your head) or a written method (writing the numbers down).

A reminder about place value

• 6 is the hundreds digit.
• 2 is the tens digit.
• 3 is the units digit.

Multiplication vs. Division

With whole numbers when you multiply the number gets bigger. When you divide the number gets smaller.
