Changing decimals to percentages using multiplication

The quick way to change a decimal into a percentage is to multiply it by 100
For example to write 0.75 as a percentage multiply it by 100

         0.75 x 100 = 75

so 0.75 as a percentage is 75% - remember to add the % sign.

Try it with another one. Write 0.05 as a percentage.
Take 0.05 and multiply it by 100

         0.05 x 100 = 5

so 0.05 as a percentage is 5% - again remember to add the % sign.
Notice that small decimals make small percentages.

Here are some more decimals multiplied by 100 to make percentages.

          0.05 x 100 = 5       so 0.05 = 5%
          0.1 x 100 = 10       so 0.1 = 10%
          0.25 x 100 = 25     so 0.25 = 25%
          0.5 x 100 = 50       so 0.5 = 50%
          0.66 x 100 = 66     so 0.66 = 66%
          0.9 x 100 = 90       so 0.9 = 90%
          0.99 x 100 = 99     so 0.99 = 99%
          1.0 x 100 = 100     so 1.0 = 100%
