Calls are free from most landlines but some mobile operators may charge for the call. Text messages cost 12-15p.

You can also ask for advice in libraries, job centres and colleges. And if you are in a union you can ask your union learning rep.

As Shaun found, adult courses are not like school. In fact they are often designed for people who didn't like school. Tutors talk with students as adults.
