Welcome to the new-look Skillswise (launched January 2004).
We haven't changed a lot. We've taken away the left-hand navigation menu and used the top of the page as the main navigation route between the big sections of the site. Changes we hope you'll like include:

• More white space, with less text to each page.
• Word links to the main site sections (rather than buttons that people found hard to understand).
• Use of tabs on the main index pages, for easy navigation between all 'Words' or 'Numbers' materials.
• A crumb trail in each section that tells you where you are and helps you navigate back.
• A handy tutor grid, so that tutors can see (and link directly to) all the modules within 'Words' or 'Numbers'.

Overview - How the site is organised
Skillswise is a FREE website that can be accessed anywhere in the World where there is an internet connection. You don't even need to register, you just turn up and get going.

Saving the Skillswise CD-ROM locally
As well as being a free website, there is a free Skillswise CD-ROM for use in places that don't have easy access to the Internet.
This is where you'll find full instructions on how to save the contents of the Skillswise taster CD-ROM locally onto your computer or laptop, or onto your college or workplace local network.
