The Skillswise site is being developed and created by BBC Interactive Factual and Learning. Staff in the Skillswise team have been involved in education websites for a number of years and most members of the team have some experience of working in a basic skills classroom through studying for a volunteer / introduction to teaching qualification.
The Skillswise team has been working closely with the Basic Skills Agency and qualified basic skills tutors. The tutors have helped create the site through developing ideas based around the curriculums. They also write all our quizzes, factsheets and worksheets. Meet the tutors who’ve taken part so far.
