Technical help:
To get the most out of this topic area you need to be aware of the following format:

  • RTF format
The worksheets are in Rich Text Format (RTF). Most word processors can view and edit RTF files, unlike some word processing files which need particular software. If you are a Microsoft Word user, you won't notice any difference between an RTF file and a Word document. If your learners are visually impaired, these worksheets are screen reader accessible. Lastly, like Microsoft Word documents, RTF files are editable, so you can change or customise the worksheets to suit your learners. We hope you find this useful!

Taking it further:

Elsewhere on the web:

Here are a few suggestions of other places on the web that you might find useful resources that you can adapt for teaching time.

LLU+
(LLU+) have developed some interactive numeracy resources which offer a range of interesting exercises. Click on 'clock face demo' launch. This activity displays time in a traditional clock and digital clock format which the learner has to match up.

Interactivate
Interactivate contains activities and lessons aimed at exploring concepts in mathematics. It has materials for a range of levels, including those suitable for EL3. Scroll down to Clock Wise where learners can either enter a time in number which will be displayed on the clock face, or practice reading the time from a clock face.
