upper middle classes with a witty, wordy and gentle script and still
pull in twenty million viewers".
"It gave the world Margot Leadbetter, put Surbiton on the
map, introduced the idea of downshifting to British public, and
was suitable viewing for all the family".

producing talent of John Howard Davies who all went on to bring
us some of the UK's most popular sitcoms ('To the Manor Born', 'Brush
Strokes' etc). It was 'The Good Life' that started the ball rolling".
