Three men who admitted giving more than nine-hundred-thousand (US) dollars to Tamil Tiger rebels in Sri Lanka have walked
free from court in the Australian city of Melbourne.
The judge ,Paul Coghlan, said he was satisfied that the three , who are members of Australia's Sri Lankan community , had
not believed they were aiding terrorist-related activities but just wanted to help Tamils in Sri Lanka.
The Judge imposed suspended sentences on the men.
The Tamil Tigers fought a twenty-five year war for independence until they were defeated by Sri Lankan government forces last
year.
