'Bombs will blast'

Tamil Tigers say that claymore bombs will blast until the government stops acts of violence.

“If the government stops violence in the North and East there would be no need for claymores,” said the political chief of the LTTE on Thursday.

The Head of the Tamil Tiger political wing S.P Thamilselvan made this warning after a meeting with Norwegian special envoy Jon Hanssen-Bauer in Kilinochchi.

Thmailselvan said that they could think of fixing new dates only after meeting their regional commanders.

The head of the LTTE political wing said that as the government delegation consulted all parties before talks LTTE regional commanders also had to meet their leader V Prabahakaran.

The Norwegian envoy reminded both parties that peace is much more important than achieving political ambitions.

“Both parties need to abide by cesefire agreement and commitments made at Geneva” said Bauer

Norwegian Ambassador Hans Brattskar also attended the meeting.
