As part of the Composers of the Year celebrations for the 200th anniversary of Mendelssohn's birth, choirs all over the country - and some abroad - are joining in by performing Mendelssohn's 'O for the Wings of a Dove' on Radio 3's Mendelssohn celebration weekend, 8-10 May.
The BBC Singers have recorded a masterclass on the work, with their chief conductor David Hill, soprano soloist Emma Tring, and Stephen Farr piano / organ. Tenor Neil MacKenzie also provides a short vocal warm-up.
