Our guide to help you get through the floods
Shrewsbury floods
The Shrewsbury floods in 2000 caused much damage
With the great River Severn flowing through the county, it's no wonder that we suffer from more than our fair share of floods - and heavy rainfall in autumn and winter makes this time of the year the most dangerous.

The Environment Agency website is constantly kept up to date with the Current flooding situation.

The agency's Flooding homepage is a mine of information on everything to do with preparing for floods.

It also has a section on the Shrewsbury flood scheme currently under construction in the Frankwell are of the town.
