India Splendour is a major celebration of the 60th anniversary of India's independence, held in America.

It's a six day event that opened on 10 August 2007, showcasing the finest in contemporary Indian cinema, arts, fashion, dance, music and spirituality.

Last night, prominent Indians, who have carved a name for themselves in their respective fields, received the India Splendour Awards in the midst of a dance and music extravaganza.

Mr Lulla won the award for his contribution to raising awareness of the Indian film industry across the world.

Mr Kishore Lulla commented whilst accepting the award, "I am deeply humbled by this honour. God has been very kind and I remain ever so grateful for everything that we have been able to achieve in this journey."

He continues, "I would like to thank each and every person who has touched my life - my family, the Eros team, investors, business associates, and above all the entire Indian Film Industry fraternity who have shown us their unconditional support."

Mr Lulla also mentioned that he hopes the Indian entertainment industry becomes the brightest star to shine on the global media platform in years to come.
