Raqeeb
is a fast paced musical thriller full of twists and turns.
The
story has many themes that are different but closely linked to each
other. It explores the concept of seduction, love, betrayal, passion,
obsession and crime.
Remo
Mathews is a computer whiz kid and owner of a highly successful
software company. His parents died in a car crash when he was a
child. Siddharth, his employee, is his only best friend.
Siddharth
is an extrovert and complete opposite of Remo. So he constantly
nags Remo to socialise so that he can find a girlfriend.
But
Remo is against this idea until one day, Sidharth plays a prank
and sets Remo up on a blind date with Sophie, a theatre actress.
After
a hilarious misunderstanding between the two, Remo falls in love
with her.
All
is well until Remo discovers that Sophie's parents died in the same
car crash as his parents. What's more, Remo's parents were responsible
for the accident.
After
the initial rift between the couple, love overcomes all barriers
and the two finally get married.
Into
their lives enter Sunny, a struggling actor who was in love with
Sophie. This relationship didn't materialise as Sophie wanted a
life of luxury which Sunny could not provide.
But
this time, the old love is rekindled. And so begins a torrid love
affair between the two with Remo being the only obstacle in their
path.
A plan
is set into action to kill Remo but on the day of the killing, Sunny
is double crossed by Sophie. He ends up in jail for Remo's murder.
Why
does Sophie double crossed Sunny? Is there more to her than what
meets the eye?
Does
Siddharth find out the truth about Sophie? Is Sunny able to clear
his name?
All
these questions and much more are answered in the nail biting and
chilling climax. The film is being released by London international
Films in the UK cinemas.
