| Sawaan
the Love Season is based on two young people - Raj (Kapel Jhaveri) and Kajal
(Saloni Aswani). Whilst
on holiday in Cape Town, these two characters meet and love blossoms between them. What's
more, they also find that their respective dads (Ranjeet and Prem Chopra) are
friends. Upon
their return home, Kajal comes across a man (Salman Khan) who saves her from an
accident. But
she finds that there is more to him than meets the eye when he predicts her father's
death to the precise hour - and shockingly this comes true! What's
more, he also predicts that she will die within a week. And even that comes true...
well partly, because after some heavy action sequences between this character
and Raj, Kajal actually returns... How
this is explained forms the remaining story of Sawaan - The Love Season. Kapel
and Saloni make their acting debut in this film. They have done a commendable
job considering that they are newcomers to the Bollywood industry. Like
all new stars, they will have to work hard to master their craft, but this will
only happen with more films offers and more practice at acting. As
for Salman Khan, he makes his appearance just before the intermission leaving
the entire first half to the newcomers' capable hands to keep the audience engrossed.
King
of comedy, Mr Johnny Lever and Bobby Darling make an appearance in this film just
to add some light entertainment in between the main plot. Saawan
- The Love Season has debuted at number 26 in the UK charts. In its opening
weekend it collected £20,195. So,
if you are a die-hard Salman Khan fan then it's worth watching the film.
