In his private life, he has Sonia (Bipasha) whom he is already engaged to. She is a fashion designer by profession.

For Aditya, this is a turbulent relationship because Sonia is a woman with a modern outlook.

She believes that career comes first. As much as Aditya tries to overlook this fact, it keeps coming in their way.

Even though the wedding date is all set, Aditya is forced to leave for Canada to learn about the technique of a new car model to be launched in India. Meanwhile Sonia's career takes her to Paris for a fashion show.

In Canada, coincidence or destiny causes Aditya to come across Jia (Katrina Kaif) more than once. Jia, happens to be the daughter of a rich business tycoon Yashwardhan Birla.

She has come to Canada all alone to do shopping for her wedding. She is to marry Karan Raichand who is the son of an affluent businessman.

Simple by nature, Jia has everything she could ask for in her childhood but one thing she never had was time with her busy father.

And now the man her father had chosen for her hardly has any time to spend with her too. And that is when she finds a friend in Aditya.

As Aditya and Jia manage to spend time with each other, their bond of friendship deepens.

Soon, Aditya gets a chance to participate in a car rally and easily wins the race with flying colours.

But on their way back home, a minor incident causes them to spend the night together. It's then that they realise that they have fallen in love with each other.

But this happy time is short lived when a misunderstanding causes Aditya and Jia to part ways.

Jia goes back to India to get married with Karan whilst Aditya also returns to India to be with Sonia.

But soon fate makes them meet for the last time - at Jia's wedding.

This melodrama is sure to be popular with the audience when it releases, due to its family orientated storyline.
