The film focuses on Sunny and Lokesh, two school boys who, like most adolescents, love looking at women.

As the first school term comes to an end, Sunny returns to his mansion in Pune to be with his father, Mr. Shanbaug (Ayub Khan).

Being a businessman, Mr Shanbaug is too busy with his work. So a lonely Sunny starts visiting adult sites on the Internet. But he is caught in the act by Rocky, his father's manager.

Rocky wants to make a film with Bollywood's most famous actor for which he has borrowed 10 million Rupees from Sultanbhai. But it's now time to payback the money.

If he does not return this amount, Sultanbhai and his three henchmen, Amar (Tej Sapru), Akbar (Anil Nagrath) and Anthony (Ashok), theraten to kill him.

Meanwhile Lokesh visits Sunny at his home and informs him about Payal, a young woman, living practically next door.

So Sunny decides to become friends with this lady and soon a friendship develops between the two.

One night, Payal seduces this young lad and they both enjoy some intimate moments in bed. But when Sunny wakes up the following morning, he finds her dead.

Shocked by what he sees, Sunny rushes home where he accidentally bumps into Rocky. With no one to turn to, Sunny pours out his heart to Rocky who promises to help him.

Together, they bury the dead body in some dreary place. But hold on, the story does not end here. There is a third person who is keeping watch over Sunny's every move.

A few days later, Sunny receives a packet containing pictures of him burying the body. The blackmailer demands a sum of 1 million rupees or else he will reveal all.

Scared by this revelation, Sunny gives in to the blackmailer and agrees to pay the ransom. He hands over a cheque to Rocky to be passed on to the blackmailer.

The twist in the tale comes when Sunny discovers that it was all a conspiracy against him - it was Rocky who wanted to extract money from him all along.

So what follows next is a series of situations where our Bollywood hero does all he can to get his money back.

The first half is filled with an overdose of bikini clad women seen through the lustfull eyes of the boys. This inevitably weakens the whole plot of what could be a complex, tense film.

Direction by T L V Prasad is not up to the mark, though he has tried his best to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Cinematography is average whilst the musical score is nothing to brag about.

Payal Rohatgi impresses as an actress, while Amin Gazi delivers a great performance as a 15 year old school boy. Ayub Khan, in a brief role, looks good.

On the whole, Tauba Tauba is an avoidable fare. It is simply an ordinary piece of work.
