A press conference was held in Mumbai by director Shyam Benegal on his latest venture which is based on the Indian independence fighter Subhash Chandra Bose.

Titled, Netaji -The Last Hero, this film concentrates on the last five years in the life of Subhash Chandra Bose, who led the Indian National Army against British rule during the Second World War.

The film depicts the adventurous journey from the time Netaji escaped from Calcutta and built an army of 80,000 fighting men with in a short time span.

Filming took place in Calcutta , Delhi, Japan, Uzbekistan and Malaysia but a major part was shot in Berlin.
