Priety Zinta as the television
reporter
|
Brought
up in a rich family, Karan has no worries about the future. But
then again why should he? After all, he has no aims or personal
goals in life.
The
only stable person in his life is Romilla Dutta (Priety Zinta),
a bright and ambitious young journalist.
She
is in love with Karan and always believes that one day he will find
his purpose in life.
And
that day soon comes when Karan embarks on a journey of self discovery
which tests him physically, mentally and emotionally.

Hrithik Roshan as Shergill
|
He
gradually transforms from a carefree young boy to a cadet who eventually
gets promoted to an army officer.
The
1999 Kargil conflict forms the backdrop for this movie where Operation
Vijay is depicted with great realism. The character played by Hrithik
Roshan is based purely on fiction.
Hrithik
will adorn three different looks by sporting different hairstyles
in this film. Already riding high after the box hit of Koi Mil
Gaya, Hrithik will further affirm his position in Bollywood
upon the film's release.
