Majority
of the guests present at the music launch consisted of the
armed forces. That's because a large part of the film focuses
on the Indian army.
Lakshya
's script has been written by Farhan's father, Javed Akhtar.
Last time he wrote a script was for the Bollywood film Prem
in 1995.
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy
have composed the musical score for the film whilst the lyrics
have been thought out by Javed Akhtar.
The
film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta,
Om Puri, Sharad Kapoor and Sushant Singh in lead roles.
Shooting
took place at 17,800 feet in the mountains with working conditions
of -15 degrees Celsius.
Releasing
in the UK on June 11th 2004, Lakshya is based on a love
story between a soldier (Hrithik Roshan) and a journalist (Priety
Zinta). The Kargil conflict forms the backdrop for this film.
