Grinshill photo gallery
Grinshill juts out of the Shropshire plain alongside the A49 road between Shrewsbury and Whitchurch, and is better known for its red sandstone than the outstanding views it offers from its summit.

Grinshill stone was used by the Romans to build Wroxeter, but in the days of sailing ships it was exported to America and used to build churches. Most famously, Grinshill stone was used to build Chequers, the Prime Minister's country residence in Buckinghamshire.
