"After
a 10 hour paddle from the Beara Peninsula to Valencia Island
into a force 5 headwind I collapsed into my bivi bag while
I waited for the van."
Simon's reached Rough Head on the Dingle peninsular, with
some awkward paddling ahead.

Its amazing where you can sleep when you are tired.
On Saturday my arms were drained from the day before. I
only managed to cover 15 miles to Dingle. It was a bit out
of my way but I thought there was the possibility of good
fundraising.
Sunday was force 5-6 from the North and so I decided to
spend the day collecting, eating and sleeping. Late on today
a gentleman called Gary walked up to the van and said he
would like to give a small donation. He ended up donating
500 Euros!
We were all speechless. He mentioned that he recently lost
a very close friend to cancer. This kind of spontaneous
generosity makes us realise how deeply people are affected
by cancer.
