It's been a hard day for Simon. He made a simple mistake of forgetting his food. The van has gone back to Dublin to change support drivers and he is in a tent alone on a beach hear Castletown.

We think he could really do with a message of support.

It has been a short but hard day!

I went around the Mizen and up to the Beara Peninsula today. The wind is now coming from the north. Blowing a gusty force 5-6.
I committed myself to a four hour paddle and forgot to put
my food in the hatch behind me. A simple mistake but one
that made the day horrible!

The van has headed back to Dublin to switch drivers and the bikers have had to separate to try and cover the enormous distances these Peninsula force them to cover. As a result I am on my own in a tent near Castletown. My hopes are for a good day tomorrow with lighter winds forecast.
